The High Court has sentenced Lugya Bbosa and Lugya Noah alias ‘Fake’ to death after the two pleaded guilty to the murder of former Ndiga clan head, Engineer Daniel Kakeedo Bbosa.
The duo was sentenced on Thursday, August 13, 2026, by Justice David Matovu following their allocutus, where they admitted to the charges before court.
Prosecution told the court that the two were responsible for the killing of Engineer Bbosa, who was murdered on February 24, 2025, in Kikandwa Village, Lungujja, a Kampala suburb.
Engineer Daniel Kakeedo Bbosa served as the head of the Ndiga clan, one of the 56 clans in Buganda Kingdom. His killing in 2025 shocked the country and drew widespread condemnation from cultural leaders and the public, with calls for a thorough investigation and justice.

With the conviction of Lugya Bbosa and Lugya Noah, the court has delivered judgment on part of the accused in the case.
Meanwhile, the murder trial involving the three remaining co-accused has been scheduled to resume on September 8, 2026. The three are expected to face trial on charges related to the same murder.
The sentencing marks a significant development in a case that has been closely watched by the Buganda Kingdom and the wider public.
