The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has issued a 14-day ultimatum to several television stations and courier service operators over unpaid regulatory fees, warning that it will initiate debt recovery proceedings against those who fail to settle their outstanding balances.
In a public notice dated Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the Commission published a list of five television stations and seven courier service operators it says remain indebted despite repeated engagements and reminders to clear their outstanding fees.
The Commission said the listed operators had failed or refused to pay their dues, prompting the public notice and a renewed demand for immediate settlement.
Among the television stations named are Tagy Television (Tagy TV), Select for Fun (Select 4 Fun TV), ABS TV, Horizon TV and Success Media International.
According to the notice, Tagy Television owes Shs3.54 million and US$27,306, while Select for Fun TV has an outstanding balance of Shs1.416 million and US$38,733.
ABS TV is listed as owing Shs2.122 million and US$9,540, while Horizon TV has an outstanding debt of US$8,658. Success Media International is listed with a balance of US$4,225.
The Commission also named seven courier and logistics operators over unpaid fees. They include Godspeed Logistics Company Limited, Hoouna Logistics SMC-LTD, Prime Couriers Uganda Limited, Pax Transporters, Tantadym Investments SMC-LTD, Kizkin Logistics Limited and United Wireless Limited.
Pax Transporters is listed as owing Shs64.72 million, making it the largest single Ugandan-shilling debt among the courier operators named in the notice.
Other outstanding balances include US$5,900 for Godspeed Logistics Company Limited, US$1,180 for Hoouna Logistics SMC-LTD, US$4,012 for Prime Couriers Uganda Limited, US$1,180 for Tantadym Investments SMC-LTD, US$472 for Kizkin Logistics Limited and US$1,522 for United Wireless Limited.
UCC has directed all the listed operators to report to the Commission immediately to settle their debts or reconcile their accounts by presenting proof of payment where applicable.
The Commission warned that operators whose debts remain unpaid after 14 days from the date of the notice will face debt recovery proceedings. It added that the affected companies and their directors could bear the costs associated with the recovery process.
The notice signals a renewed enforcement effort by the communications regulator to recover outstanding fees from entities operating in Uganda’s broadcasting, courier and logistics sectors.
UCC is responsible for regulating communications services in Uganda, including broadcasting and courier services. The fees owed by the listed companies were not further broken down in the notice.
The Commission asked the affected operators to contact its offices at UCC House, Plot 42–44 Spring Road, Bugolobi, Kampala, or visit its regional offices for further information and resolution of their accounts.
The notice does not state whether the listed operators have disputed the balances or responded to the Commission’s latest demand.
