New Land Management Centre in Matugga Set to Transform Land Administration in Luwero

A new Land Management Centre Uganda is set to be officially opened in Matugga, just after the Semuto turnoff from Kampala, on Friday 3rd July 2026.

The centre is focused on improving land administration in the Luwero region under the theme of knowledge, land security, productivity, and development. It is expected to address long-standing land challenges such as disputes, delays in issuing land titles, and inefficiencies in land management systems.

The initiative aims to bring land services closer to the people, improve efficiency through modern and digital systems, and support economic development by ensuring secure land ownership for farmers and investors.

Gen. Caleb Akandwanaho (Salim Saleh) is expected to be the chief guest at the official opening ceremony.

Overall, the centre is expected to reduce land conflicts, speed up service delivery, and promote development across Luwero and surrounding areas.
