Muhammad Shaban’s journey with Kitara FC has come to an end after the striker and the club mutually agreed to part ways, marking the close of another chapter in his career.
The announcement was made by his representatives, Santos Sports Management, who confirmed that the decision was reached amicably. In their statement, the agency thanked Kitara FC President Deo Kasozi and the entire club for the trust and support shown during Shaban’s time with the Royals.
“We have reached a mutual agreement with Kitara FC to part ways,” the statement read. “We would like to thank the President, Mr. Deo Kasozi, and the entire Kitara FC fraternity for the opportunity to work together. We wish the club every success in its continental engagements and the domestic league.”

Although the statement did not reveal Shaban’s next destination, its closing line—“A new challenge awaits”—strongly suggests that the experienced forward is preparing for another move as he looks to continue his career elsewhere.
Shaban leaves Kitara with the respect of the club and its supporters, having contributed his experience and leadership during his time at the Hoima-based side. His departure comes as Kitara FC gears up for another demanding season that includes both domestic competition and continental football.
Attention will now turn to where one of Uganda’s most recognizable strikers lands next. With his proven goal-scoring ability and wealth of experience, Shaban is expected to attract interest from clubs eager to strengthen their attacking options.
For Kitara FC, the focus shifts to filling the void left by the forward while building a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts. As for Muhammad Shaban, the message is clear: one chapter has ended, and another is about to begin.
