Buganda Kingdom Pledges Support for New West Buganda Diocese Bishop

The Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga has pledged the Buganda Kingdom’s support for the new West Buganda Diocese Bishop, Rt. Rev. Gaster Nsereko, and his wife, Sarah Nsereko.

In a message read by the Deputy Katikkiro, Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa, Mayiga emphasized that the kingdom is committed to backing Bishop Nsereko’s development initiatives, ensuring the growth of both the diocese and the kingdom.

Katikkiro’s Commitment: Mayiga assured the bishop of the kingdom’s support, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the kingdom and the diocese.

Tribute to Predecessor: Mayiga praised the outgoing bishop, Rt. Rev. Henry Katumba Tamale, for his contributions to the diocese, wishing him a peaceful retirement.

The newly installed Bishop Nsereko, who succeeds Bishop Tamale, has expressed his commitment to building on his predecessor’s legacy.
