Inside KCCA Minister Kabanda’s Battle To Save Assistant Who Was Detained In Canada On Human Trafficking And Fraud Allegations.

News coming to our Political desk indicates that the office for the minister of KCCA is in tight dilemma as one of her political Assistant is detained in a foreign country, Our political reporters crosschecked this intel with the Senior minister for Kampala Capital City Authority Hajjat Minsa Kabanda and she exclusively confirmed to TV10GanoMazima that she has also received information that one of her political assistants was arrested and detained in Canada on allegations of human trafficking and fraud.

Minister Kabanda also explained to TV10GanoMazima that for the last one month, she lost communication with Sulaiman Kidandala who is also a former deputy mayor to Kampala Lord Mayor Ssalongo Erias Lukwago.

However the minister assured in her verbal talk that “I’m still investigating the matter and I’m in touch with other government authorities to establish the truth,” Kabanda said.

TV10GanoMazima also approached one of the detainees Close friends like Kenneth Paul Kakande, a city lawyer and also confirmed that as friends, they are finding solutions to save Kidandala because they have also spent a long period of time without seeing or communicating with him.

Highly placed sources at City Hall revealed to TV10GanoMazima that Kabanda hired Kidandala to advise her on how to handle KCCA politics and outsmart Lukwago who was threatening her position as a minister because of his previous record of fighting President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s ministers assigned to handle Kampala City.

However Kidandala was using Kabanda’s office to seal a number of deals including helping youths to go and work in Canada and in the Middle East countries where he was harvesting a lot of money.

Sources claim that in January 2024, Kidandala decided to go to Canada to help the youths he helped to go there get jobs but when he reached there, the Canadian authorities asked him for documents from president Museveni’s government giving him authority to deal in labour export.

Surprisingly, Kidandala did not have any of the documents he was asked for but resorted to giving excuses.

Sources said that the Canadian authorities also established that Kidandala was in possession of forged travel documents.

Other sources at city hall have disclosed to TV10GanoMazima that after spending two days in detention and establishing that Canadian officials were very serious, he decided to make several telephone calls to Kabanda to rescue him.

Ever since Lukwago fired Kidandala in audio allegations that he wanted to betray him through sealing a deal with former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gen. Edward Kale Kayihura to help president Museveni’s government in the process of impeaching Lukwago over allegations of incompetence and abuse of office, his political career took a downturn.

When People Power came into the political lines of Uganda Sulaiman Kidandala was among the administrators who came with DP-Block to set up the system of NUP. But however, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu also denied him a ticket to contest as their party candidate for Kawempe North and instead gave the ticket to Muhammad Ssegirinya who is currently in a battle fighting for his life in Nairobi.
