Senior prison officers have been promoted to various ranks in a pipping ceremony held at the Luzira Prisons Complex.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. Johnson Byabashija, the Inspector General of Prisons in Uganda, who congratulated the officers on their achievements and encouraged them to embrace their new roles with commitment, discipline, and professionalism.
The event celebrated the officers’ dedication, hard work, and contribution to the Uganda Prisons Service. The newly promoted officers were urged to use their experience to inspire others, strengthen teamwork, and continue supporting the country’s correctional and rehabilitation efforts.
