Embezzlement and misappropriation of public funds have become common practises among Ugandan politicians. Several high-ranking officials have been involved in siphoning off funds meant for various development projects, resulting in a stalled progress and deprived public services. This widespread corruption has significantly hampered the country’s socio-economic growth and perpetuated poverty and it’s citizens.

Bribery has also been prevalent in Ugandan politics. Many politicians have been caught accepting bribes in exchange for favours or influence. This undermines the fairness and integrity of democratic processes and hinders the representation of ordinary citizens in decision-making. Political violence is another disturbing aspect of corrupt politics in Uganda. In pursuit of power and control, politicians has resorted to violence, often targeting opposition members and their supporters. This not only violates the basic principles of democracy and human rights but also creates a climate of fear and instability.
