Vipers Sports Club have officially welcomed back Farouk Miya ahead of the 2026/27 season, completing the return of one of the club’s most iconic players.
Announcing the signing, the club said:

“We are pleased to announce the return of Farouk Miya to the club ahead of the 2026/27 season, bringing back a player whose name remains etched among the greatest ever to wear the famous red and black.”
Miya returns to Kitende after years of playing professional football abroad and representing the Uganda Cranes. His comeback is expected to add quality, experience and leadership to the Vipers squad as they prepare for the new season.
A fan favourite during his first spell at the club, Miya earned his place among the club’s greats with his outstanding performances before moving overseas.
His return has been warmly received by supporters, who will be hoping the midfielder can once again play a key role as Vipers chase success in the 2026/27 campaign.
