Benni McCarthy Takes Charge: New Era for Kenya’s National Team

Benni McCarthy is indeed the new head coach of Kenya’s national football team, Harambee Stars. He’s a South African football legend who played for top clubs like FC Porto, West Ham United, and Ajax, and even won the UEFA Champions League with Porto in 2004.

As a coach, McCarthy has worked with Manchester United, Hibernian, Cape Town City, and AmaZulu. He’s now tasked with leading Kenya’s national team, starting with their World Cup qualification matches against The Gambia and Gabon.

McCarthy’s appointment is historic, as he’s the first South African citizen to take charge of Kenya’s senior national team. His experience and expertise are expected to boost Kenya’s chances in international competitions.
