The speaker of the parliament of Uganda Anti Among has made a record that is the only person who was sanctioned in her two years of leadership by the UK government and other two former ministers of karamoja affairs Agnes Nadutu and Marie Gorrite Kitutu.
In her frimzey way of response the speaker said she didn’t have any property in the land of United Kingdom, This was on Tuesday 30 April , this week when the deputy foreign secretary Andrew Mitchell ignited their sanction.
They are subjected to travel bans and asset freezes Agnes Nadutu and Mary Gorreti Kitutu are the main participants as for the speaker was the beneficiary from the procedures.
Mitchell added these people embezzled thousands of iron sheets which where meant the vulnerable communities in Karamoja. “Corruption has consequences and you will be held responsible” he added On Friday the minister of state for foreign affairs in charge of
regional affairs Hon.John Mulimba said to the parliament that “we therefore seek to find the rational for actions taken by the birtish government in this sanction designation” Among in her defence said that she doesn’t have any properties in UK not even a pussycat’
According to our sources confirmed that the speaker owns two houses in UK where she’s hiding her children it’s alleged that she brought each house at 2million pounds which she acquired for her children in the UK.
Then also Mary Gorrit Kitutu owns a house in UK which she brought at 1 million pound while Agnes does not possess any thing in the UK.
Above all she has protested the sanctions calling it politically motivated and witch hunt against her to enact the anti-homo-sexually law for 2023. She also added that am carrying a cross of 48 million Ugandans because of anti-homosexuality act we passed in 2023.
But this wasn’t the first time the speaker to be she sanctioned , she was also sanctioned by USA and has repeated coated saying as long as she still have a free visa to Bukeda and Buyendi district they is nothing she needs there.
Robert Kyagulanyi the NUP president stated that’s a lie the public shud disregard such claims by the implicated leader they are aimed over the anti-guy law. if that was the case the mover of the motion Asuman Basalirwa wud be equally sanctioned.
