Minister of Kampala Minsa Kabanda on hot seat as president of Uganda tasks her for failure of managing the city.
Failures includes waste management and finances through procuring lands of where to control wastes.
Her desperation comes out of confusion in lands procuring polices and systems within the concerned government agencies officials.
In an interview with the media, Minister Kabanda said that since the previous wastes killing of people in kiteezi areas, Kampala capital city authority has been in confusions and desperations of getting the land or a place of control and management of wastes.
KCCA has lost a lot billions of money spent on lands servaing and preparations with enagh due diligence but after all some people and government officials comes out to claim the ownership of land.
Minister nalytes that it looks like there people within government who want to undermine her ministerial works of Kampala capital city authority (KCCA).
She adds that she is now doing her work desperately and on tensions according to the situation which include the ones escalated this month when KCCA bought land in Buyala/Muduuma on mityana road for use as landfill.
The area spanning 1,096 hectares was initially designated to conserve the mayanja wetland, which serves to protect River Mayanja before it flows into Lake Victoria.
Since the kiteezi tragedy that claimed more than 30 lives, KCCA as well as government asked Ugandans owning land within a 30km radius to bid and offer their land for KCCA use as a landfill to address the waste management problem in Kampala capital city authority and metropolitan.
The national forest authority (NFA) came out to claim the land ownership. It’s highly a troubling issues which confuses minister Minsa Kabanda said.
The minister plans to meet with the lord mayor of Kampala Erias Lukwago to seek solutions.
President of the republic of Uganda Yoweri Museveni recently appointed Ms Shariah Buzeki as the new executive director with Mr .Benoni Kigenyi named as the deputy director of Kampala capital city authority, they designed the contract and these are the matters we have to revisit. She said.
Minsa Kabanda adds that KCCA still stuck with the garbage problem because of confusion from within the government offices.
“There is no solution for Kampala yet, as minister of Kampala i have to find solution of the problems but there’s too much limitations.”

Conflicts of interests within Government officials caused my the minister’s failure to do the work as required.
KCCA corrects more than 600 tonnes of garbage if the lack of knowledge persist to turn the rubbish into useful products like tables and chairs Kampala leaders should vacate their offices. She said.
