Kampala September 26–Kampala Capital City Authority, KCCA, Legal Director, Frank Rusa Nyakaana, has been named acting KCCA Executive Director, for the next three months, replacing Dorothy Kisaka who was sacked Tuesday.
Two other officials from KCCA, Nowele Robert and Dr. Sarah Zalwango were also named KCCA Deputy Executive Director and Director for Public Health in acting capacity respectively replacing Engineer David Luyimbaazi and Dr. Daniel Okello who were laid off with Dorothy Kisaka.
The appointments followed recommendations to the President by Kampala Minister, Minsa Kabanda, after consultations with the KCCA authority. Minister Minsa Kabanda told TV10 ganomazima that she had sent the recommended names to the President and was yet to respond.
In a statement from the president’s office sacking Dorothy Kisaka, her deputy and the public health director Tuesday, president Museveni directed the Kampala minister, to make consultations with the Authority and recommend to him three names of people to work in the positions of the sacked officials in acting capacity for three months during which the Public service Ministry will have filled the positions. He also directed the Public Service Commission to start on the process of filling up the positions by advertising the jobs.
